IAA is pleased to announce the appointment of consultant Narelle Clark in a temporary 6-month role as General Manager of the Association, advising on our business and member engagement plans.

Many of our members will know Narelle as a data comms engineer with a strong focus on policy having worked in AARNet in its early days, Optus, CSIRO, the Internet Society and ACCAN.

Narelle has deep expertise in the internet and broader telecommunications industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Association through her many roles with the major telcos, research agencies and consumer bodies, as well as a leadership and governance background in the not-for-profit sector.

IAA Chair David Hooton sees Narelle’s appointment as a great opportunity for the Association.

“The IAA Board is delighted that Narelle has accepted this role and is looking forward to working together over the coming months,” explains David.

“Narelle’s extensive experience in the industry will be invaluable as she helps us complete our 2019/2020 strategic planning process.”

Narelle is currently the Principal Consultant with Pavonis where she advises companies in telecommunications regulation, operations and technology. She has sat on several industry-related boards and working groups as a consumer representative and is a sitting member of auDA’s Policy Review Panel, reviewing all policies that govern .au. Narelle also holds a seat on the board of the Public Interest Registry which operates the .org top-level domain.
